Sydney Ceramics Market 2025, Carriageworks

In October 2025, Polly Barton Ceramics will be returning to Sydney Ceramics Market at  Carriageworks in Sydney, exhibiting sculptural and contemporary ceramic homeware.

Polly and team are delighted to be back, making this our 3rd year in a row. The current body of work will include new to the kiln sculptural vases, shaped with ruffled folds and wave-like contours, capturing a sense of rhythm, motion and quiet energy.

There will also be a return to nature, with earthy tones and rich, sunbaked hues. Inspired by Mediterranean living, shades of terracotta and warm browns — balanced beautifully against soft linen textures and organic finishes. This is in addition to the ceramic white wave series which was a hugely popular last year.

Sydney Ceramics Market is a key event for the year, as it is an opportunity to support and shop handmade works by local artists and makers, celebrating the potential of clay in all its wonderful forms. As an independent ceramicist, these events are a great joy to showcase work and to meet new customers.
