Large Ceramic Balloon Vase - Organic Glazes

The Large Ceramic Balloon Vase is a sculptural, contemporary statement piece designed to bring artistic form, texture and colour into the home.

Its distinctive balloon-like silhouette gives it a soft, oval presence with matt-like natural hue glazes. The upper section is a warm teal green, while the bottom is wrapped in a soft layered band of ocean blue. The base of the vase is unglazed with the natural tones of the clay .

The vase has a simple, sculptural silhouette that allows the glaze art to become the main feature. Its slightly irregular handmade character and variation in colour gives it a distinctive, one-of-a-kind feel.

Nature

The fluidity of pouring the glazes over each piece explores what happens when organic movement is captured in stoneware. This glaze colour and formation here resembles mosses growing in water on the coastal rocks: teal greens, punctuated by layer of ocean blue and warm rust.
