This tall oversized ruffled contoured vase has a striking sculptural form of interweaved ruffle folds at the top of the vase.
The oversized hand-built cylinder vase is glazed in a warm natural mushroom taupe colour; and has been scored with vertical lines leading up to the ruffled 'pom-pom' top. The warm taupe edges and folds helps accentuate the ruffles edges in a contemporary look. The base of the vase remains unglazed, in a warm toasty clay.
Approximate dimensions 37cm tall by 22cm diameter and is one of a kind.
The recent body of work focuses on sculptural vases, shaped with ruffled folds and wave-like contours, capturing a sense of rhythm, motion and quiet energy.
Ceramic Vases
The ceramic vase is glazed and waterproof to hold water; offering structural form as well as functional use in the home.
