The Oversized Ruffled Cylinder Vase in White Glaze is a study in restrained surface and expressive form. Ruffle folds flow from the opening down the sides of the cylinder — the Avoca white satin glaze catching light differently across each fold. The unglazed base reveals the raw white clay beneath, a deliberate contrast that grounds the piece. At 30cm tall and 27cm wide, it is as much a sculptural object as a vase.

The Ruffle Fold Collection is defined by a single technique — clay folded, layered and built by hand until the surface becomes the sculpture. Each piece explores what happens when organic movement is captured in stoneware: dense, tactile forms that reference coral structure and coastal texture. No two pieces are identical in fold or edge.
The recent body of work focuses on sculptural vases, shaped with ruffled folds and wave-like contours, capturing a sense of rhythm, motion and quiet energy.
